Best Cities to Live

Updated Wednesday, March 30, 2011  ::  Views (1050)

Money Sense Magazine has come out with the best Canadian cities to live in.  They based it on many different factors with everything from income to the ability to bike/walk to work.  Some of the rankings weren't surprising, such as Ottawa being ranking number 1.  However, there were a few surprises on the list.  One of the things that surprised me most is that Windsor ranked at 26 and Waterloo ranked lower at 31.  I would have predicted Windsor would have been lower based on their economy.  It seems the rest of the criteria out-weighed the cities one big negative.

Here are the ranking that people in this area will be most interested in:

Guelph: Ranked 18

Waterloo: Ranked 31

Kitchener: Ranked 64

Brantford: Ranked 80

Cambridge: Ranked 117

A few more surprises were that Toronto ranked at 88 and Montreal at 123 which is quite far away from Vancouver which ranked at 29.  Those are the 3 major cities in Canada and they're all leaps and bounds apart.  It's quite shocking.
