Last night we went and saw Eric Clapton & Jeff Beck at the ACC. The tickets were one of the christmas presents I gave Keith since he hadn't seen Eric Clapton and really wanted to. Adding Jeff Beck to the bill just made it even better.
It was an amazing concert. Jeff Beck opened and played an awesome rendition of "A Day in the Life" by the Beatles, complete with small orchestra. Then Clapton come on and played the second part, playing a few favourites such as Layla (accoustic) & cocaine but he ended up playing mostly blues and his songs that weren't quite as famous. I liked the fact that it was different, simply because I saw him play a few years ago, but I think if it was my first time seeing him I would have been disappointed he didn't play "Wonderful Tonight" which is many peoples favourite Clapton song. The format of this concert was different and the songs he played were fitting. At the end Beck joined him on stage and they played a few songs then came back for the encore of "Crossroads" which topped the night for Keith since that was the song he was waiting to here. They are both fabulous performers and it was definitely a great show!
